Yamaha's next gen digital sound projector

One of the coolest things to happen to home cinema in the last year is the Yamaha YSP-1 digital sound projector. It achieves what sound engineers have been trying to create for decades in that it is a one box speaker system that truly delivers a form of surround sound complete with rear effects. Well the goss is that the company will soon have a second digital sound projector in its range. Unlike the YSP-1 which costs around £800, the new model will be targeted at the mass market with a price to match. We have no other details yet except to add that it is due in September. Incidentally Yamaha will soon have some competition in the two channel surround sound system from both Sony (DAV-X1) and Philips (HTS8000S).
