Trevor Baylis's wind-up MP3 and video player – world first
Hippyshopper has come to the eco-friendly rescue yet again and will no doubt help save the world, along with Macgyver, Chuck Norris, and David Hasselhoff. Better add Al Gore and Bono in there just to be on the safe side, and to avoid any temper tantrums from either party. I wouldn’t want to get their knickers in a knot any more than they are already.
The latest piece of must-have green gadgetry comes from Trevor Baylis, who first introduced the wind-up radio to consumers 16 years ago. The wind-up MP3 and video player you see in front of you is reportedly the world’s first, and contains a 1GB internal memory with added SD memory card slot, 1.8″ LCD screen, LED torch, plus can charge your mobile phone, allow you to view photos, listen to FM radio and even making recordings.
Just £170 from the Ethical Superstore, I’m willing to bet Macgyver has seven. And hacked them to transform into rocket launchers on voice-command.
