Clarion launches high-end NAX973HD dashboard GPS with 30GB hard drive

There’s no room in my dashboard for sat nav, but if you’ve got the room and the money to upgrade your system, you could check out the Clarion NAX973HD.

Map data for 30 countries is pre-loaded on to the 30GB hard drive, with a 400Mhz processor able to calculate the most precise route information and an RDS-TMC tuner offering traffic information and automatic re-routing. Other features include a high sensitivity 12-channel GPS receiver and an on-board gyroscope that learn your driving habits to get you to your destination faster, voice recognition and text to speech in 6 European languages and a USB port to allow alteration of on-screen wallpapers and backgrounds.

None of that comes cheap though – the NAX973HD is priced at £795.00.
