Free to Play FIFA World comes to the PC
Just in time for the World Cup, EA Sports has today released the open beta version of FIFA World – a free to play football game.
The game has all of the usual FIFA features – with tournaments, team management and their best possible simulation of the club game. Apparently there are over 16,000 players, 600 clubs and 30 leagues – all officially licensed.
Where it makes a departure from previous FIFA titles is that… well, it’s free.
Though the company previously released mobile versions of FIFA 14 that were free to play – and topped up through micropayments, this marks a first for a fully sized device. Could we see the flagship console titles eventually go down this route too?
You can try the beta now on its website, though be warned – you’ll need EA’s Origin service to play…
