iPad Air 2 spotted again
You know we like dodgy photos of rectangles that are purported to be new Apple products here at TechDigest. So we were delighted to see that a Japanese website has got some photos of what it claims is a mock-up of the forthcoming iPad Air 2.
If ASCII.jp‘s pictures are legit, they confirm that the Air 2 – which will probably be revealed around November – will as expected have a TouchID sensor in place of the home button – just like the iPhone 5S.
The other big difference is that the volume buttons on the side are now recessed into the device rather than poking out of the sides – and the silence switch has disappeared completely. The device is also said to be a millimetre or so thinner than the previous iPad Air.
Unfortunately theres no way on confirming if the images are real, but it does match up with earlier rumours and expectations. I guess we’ll find out more in November.
