They are a busy lot at Olympus. The company seems to be launching a digital camera a week at the moment. First we had the Olympus C5000 Zoom a compact five mega pixel camera with a powerful zoom. Then last week we hard about the Ferrari version of the Mju camera (here for more) and now we have a top-end SLR replacement in the C-5060 WIDE ZOOM.
Its key features are five mega pixels resolution, a 27mm-110mm equivalent wide angle zoom – the widest currently available, and a start-up time of three seconds and a release time of 0.4 seconds.
There’s also a 3.5 x digital zoom, a powerful macro mode and a new dual Auto focus system.
It goes on sale in November priced at around £600
