Orange is to delay its 3G launch in the UK and France, according to reports from 3G.co.uk.
The launch will now take place Autumn 2004, not next summer as initially promised. The delay is apparently due to technical problems with handsets. Orange is currently testing 3G handsets from six manufacturers and will announce the shortlist of suppliers in the next couple of months.
The launch in the UK and France will be followed by roll-outs in Belgium and Switzerland.
