Sony boosts Clié range
Sony has beefed up its line-up of Clié PDAs with the introduction of two new low-end models, the PEG-TJ25 and the PEG-TJ35. Based around the Palm OS 5.2 platform, these slimline models feature a newly designed jog-dial, aluminium bodies and 320 x 320 pixel colour TFT display.
Sony has pre-installed several proprietary applications including Clié Memory and Clié Viewer onto the ROM memory. The TJ35 also features an integrated MP3 player (headphones optional), Decuma Latin natural handwriting recognition software and Picsel Viewer for viewing native microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint files.
Both feature a 200MHz processor with 16Mb of internal RAM memory on the TJ25 and 32Mb (23Mb) usable on the TJ35. The Memory Stick Pro media slot provides memory expansion of up to 1Gb.
In store early November, the models are expected to retail for under £250.
