Scanners get sexy – kind of

Admittedly we very rarely get excited about scanners – but we like the look of this one. It is the HP Scanjet 4670, which has just gone on sale in the UK. Its USP, apart from a design that’s more Apple than anything else, is that it is a see-through scanner than can be used vertically. This means you can scan and preview your scans very quickly – six seconds claims the manufacturer.

The scanner is also ultra thin and easy to store – great news as we do resent giving scanners desk space. Best of all is a price of around £170. A lot for 2400 dpi optical resolution and 48-bit colour scanner, but not for a device that looks this high-tech.
