Killer robots are back
Share
Here’s a prediction. Christmas 2004 is going to be big for toy robots and we reckon that among the fastest moving will be the Robosapien from Wowwee.
This hard as nails upright robot might not be as clever as the Sony QRIO, but it does boast 67 pre-programmed functions including kick, throw etc, is fully conversant in caveman and can perform some neat Kung Fu kicks. The word is that it should be coming to the UK later this year with a retail price of around £80. Apparently a girlfriend is on the cards too.

I think that the manifestational veiw of this robot will expand a lot more then this and I also think that Mark Tilden sure pulled it off! Great job!
Firstly, yeah, is a gr8 toy.
My dog loves it, but tries to eat it.
I went to the link http://www.fullspeed.co.nz/robosapien
but theres no hacks there. Just ways to explore your robosapien, but a nice intnessive review no matter.
I’m happy with mine, but I really want to mod the body/voice system. There is plenty of model shops out there, and plastics are easy to mould. I wouldn’t mind setting up a mod/forum for the little guy, as I am sure he will sell into the millions. It would be great to see how people have engineered him.
pesonally I want to attach “fricken Laser beams” heh heh.
Congrats to the creator!…
