Among the newcomers at this year’s CES was a company called Prismiq. It paraded a $299 Media Player/Recorder that uses 802.11g to wirelessly transmit video in a home network. Uniquely it boasts software that enables consumers to record TV programming on a PC equipped with a TV tuner card. The company has also hatched a deal with website Cinema Now to enable consumers to download video from the site which can then be watched via their TV. It goes on sale in April.
