BenQ's musical camera
We have been fairly impressed with the look of Taiwanese company BenQ’s recent digital cameras, and the rather funky DC S30, which launches in February for £200 is another one that gets a tick in our book.
Billed rather grandly as a personal digital entertainment center, the DC S30 features 3.34 Mega-pixels, 3X optical zoom, and an 180º flip-out LCD screen. It also has MP3 playback, and, what could well be a first for a digital camera, an FM radio. Even better you can listen to the music via the camera’s on board speakers.
It takes video too and BenQ claims you can store 70 minutes of low-res video on a 256MB storage card.
The camera looks pretty cool too with its magnesium alloy casing and tasty-tangerine tone. The camera’s colour LCD screen can flip-out a full 180º that gives users the flexibility to capture images from virtually any angle, including self-portraits.
