JVC: 2004 line-up

JVC promises an eclectic mix of new products for 2004 including a 50 inch plasma with optical wireless technology, DVD Recorders with hard drives and, er, a new wood cone speaker technology that has involved a thorough soaking in sake (well that’s their excuse). Here’s what’s on offer:

LCD and Plasma: JVC’s first 50inch W-XGA plasma complete with optical wireless technology (also available on the 42inch). Also new 35inch and 42inch plasmas.

DVD Recorders: A new DVD recorder (the DR-M10) compatible with DVD-RAM, -RW and -R recordings. Also a DVD Recorder with a built-in VHS deck and twin tuners for those who have a foot in the past as well as future (the DR-MV1).

Hard Drive Recorders: Two new DVD Recorders with built in hard drives – the DR-MH20 (80GB) and DR-MH30 (160GB).

Fourth generation Mini Note PC: Available June, the new Mini Note (MP-XP841) will feature built-in DVD/CD-RW drive and improved processor.
