Aiwa has announced two MP3 players, each with 2Gb capacity, which it hopes will rival the Apple iPod. While the HZ-WS2000 (pictured) is very thin and stylish, like a small book or FiloFax, the DS2000 incorporates a rubber edge and is aimed at sports enthusiasts – as well as clumsy people.

The company has also unveiled a showerproof radio (the AZ-BS32) that can play MP3s in conjunction with one of Aiwa’s USB-keychain style devices. All of the models will be on sale from April.
