Beer pitchers are a bit of a Yank thing. The only time you seem to see them over in Europe are in cheesy restaurants and mîcro breweries. Still fair play to the students in Cornell who have apparently developed a Wi-Fi beer pitcher.
According to Engadget it apparently alerts staff when it is empty and massively increases your chances of a speedy refill.
Now if they can integrate one in a glass and automatically e-mail a friend’s credit card details to the bar staff to pay for the next round then we will be impressed.
