Creative goes white

If you can’t beat ’em join ’em. After a series of digital audio players with rather industrial designs Creative’s new hard disk jukebox is finished in white, not unlike its chief competitor the iPod.
Unlike its Apple rival though the Zen Touch, which is due in September and is expected to retail for around £250-300, offers 24 hours of battery life – three times that of the iPod and more than other similar players on the market.
The 20 Gigabyte player is compatible with both MP3 and WMA files, features a touch pad control for fast access to the stored tracks and a USB 2.0 interface. Versions of the Zen Touch with larger capacity storage are expected to be launched later in the year.
