No widescreen Euro 2004

Really bad news for European footy fans with decent TVs as well as for major sponsors like Samsung who have geared new LCD/plasma widescreen product ranges around Euro 2004.

Apparently the Portuguese broadcaster handling the images from Euro 2004 isn’t yet geared up to offer widescreen images. So expect to see the action from Lisbon, Faro etc flanked by a pair of annoying bars with swirly patterns either side.

Pathetic isn’t it!
