We haven’t done a webcam story for ages, so it seems only right that we let you all know about Philips’ new ThumbCam for laptops. The camera, which comes with a special clamp for attaching to your notebook, can provide QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) resolution images at 25 frames per second.
It’s not just a webcam though, no siree. It also provides 1.3 megapixels of pure photographic fun. As well as digital stills, the ThumbCam can be used as USB key and a video camera with built-in mîcrophone. It can be yours now for £89.
