JVC's tiny camcorders

Nice little gadget from JVC. Unfortunately, the Everio GZ-MC200 and Everio GZ-MC100 digital camcorders have only been launched in Japan so far, but we’re hoping to see them over here by next summer (by which time the Japanese will have got something even smaller and nicer-looking and we’ll still feel jealous). The camcorders support MPEG2, Dolby digital audio AC3 and NTSC picture formats, have a CCD chip with 212,000 pixels, an optical 10x zoom and a digital 200x zoom. There’s also apparently a 1.8-inch LCD screen, although we’re not entirely sure where that’s kept. Can’t see it on the pic. Footage is stored ona CompactFlash card with JVC offering a 4GB CF-Card mîcro-drive from mid October.
