PURE’s continuing to keep things affordable in the digital radio market. The company already has a number of lower-priced radios on offer and this latest one is a very reasonable £79.99. The Élan comes with all the usual DAB features – autotune, station selection by name, scrolling text with track and artist info – with room for 16 preset channels (eight DAB and eight FM).
The designers have gone for a modern look which, in a market mainly made up of retro wirelesses, makes for a bit of a nice change. You’ll get 30 hours of DAB and 80 hours of FM from the six batteries. Alternatively, just plug it in to the mains. Available from October.
