This is a neat idea for anyone who’s already got a smart sound system and doesn’t want to have to buy a separate DAB radio. The Audio Adapter plugs into the Aux input socket on your hi-fi, adding digital radio capabilities to your set up. There’s an LCD preview screen for the usual digital rolling station information. It also comes with its own remote control, a clock and an alarm, as well as 10 preset channels for storing favourite stations. The Adapter is selling through Dixons and Currys now for £59.99 or £29.99 if you spend more than £129 on a Hi-Fi. Dixons is expecting digital radio sales to overtake standard analogue radio sales in December, so you’ll all be listening to the Archers in crystal clear sound quality over Christmas.
