MPIO-one tiny flash player
The MPIO-one has to be one of the smallest PVPs we’ve seen yet. It is just 32×15×55mm and weighs 34.5g. Quite what you’re supposed to watch on its 1", 96×64 pixel OLED screen is anyone’s guess, but it is capable of displaying 65,000 colours. The MPIO-one supports MP3, WMA and OGG format audio tracks, as well as MPEG4 video, JPEG, BMP GIF images. Also on board is an FM tuner. It will be available in 256MB, 512MB and 1GB capacities, and when unveiled at CeBIT 2005 was proposed as part of three stackable portable media elements including a further 20GB hard drive and a CD-ROM which connect using USB 2.0. The MPIO-one is just becoming available in Japan at the moment, so we’ll still have to wait a while for it to make its journey here.
