Sony NW-HD5 iPod rival on sale in UK

Just over a week to go before Sony launches its rather superb NW-HD5 hard disk Walkman. We had a play with one about a month ago and we have to say that other than a few curios – it looks a little plasticky – it really is a fine piece of hardware. And if you just can’t wait ten days you can buy one in the UK now via AVland. It has the 20 Gigabyte model for £209.95 and the 30 Gigabyte version for £239.95, which apparently is only a tenner more than you’ll pay for the UK version which goes on sale on May 20th.
