It appears that the rumours (reported earlier on Tech Digest) are true: Apple is expected to announce today that it is switching from long time chip supplier IBM to Intel. Insert pun about Apple thinking differently here. According to CNET‘s News.com, Apple is going to switch completely to Intel chips. Bad news for IBM. Good thing that its got the PS3’s cell processor to fall back on.
