Next generation graphics cards sighted

From behind closed doors at this year’s Computex exhibition comes word of the nVidia ‘G70’ chip, the next step in graphics card technology. These will be behind the soon to be announced Geforce 7 series which will include a 7800 GTX, 7800 GT and standard 7800. Right now precise details are thin on the ground, but there has been some nice boasts with manufacturers claiming that this new range of cards will “clearly” outperform the 6800 cards. The fact that these cards will take up to 512MB of memory is pretty impressive and the possibility of going SLI with two of them is mouth-watering.
