Pac-man scores an entry in Guinness Book of records
Share
At the celebration of Namco’s fiftieth anniversary (makers of such games as the Soul Calibur and Tekken series), an official award ceremony was thrown for Pac-man’s entry into the Guinness Book of Records as the most successful coin-op arcade machine ever. Unsurprising, when you consider that Namco sold a whopping 293,822 arcade cabinets from between 1980 and 1987.
Also re-assuring to see that the original Pac-man is finding new life as a mobile game. Just ignore all that Pac-man Adventure/Pac-man World crap.
