Yahoo launches cheap mobile mail stateside

Good news for those of us lucky enough to be on the sunnier side of the Atlantic, with the announcement that Yahoo, in conjuction with telecom giant Sprint, has launched an ultra cheap mobile mail service, going for a mere $2.99 a month. The service allows users to access and manage their Yahoo account without a Blackberry or other PDA-like phone. However the phone will only work on models compatible with sprint PCS vision, mainly Samsung and Sanyo handsets. No news on a UK plans yet.
