cost of cars, groceries, fast food and house prices. Now apparently we can’t
even by a decent selection of gadgetry without incurring some form of inflated
price, just because we’re British and thus suckers. An article by the BBC
highlights the extent of this injustice and points out how many identical
products cost half the amount in the US that we have to pay here. Ok, we
all knew that stuff is just cheaper stateside but I always liked to believe
that it was due to economies of scale and differing taxation levels. Apparently
however, when armed with a relative minor amount of knowledge about import
costs, tax and the right questions to ask about guarantees there is quite a saving
to be made from some empathic gadget suppliers over in the US.
