Google releases Google Desktop 2

Google is really going for it: first the incredible Google Earth is released and now, Google Desktop 2 is available for PC. For those unfamiliar with the concept of Google Desktop, the program lets you search your hard drive using the google taskbar. The new version will also give you updated weather and stockmarket info, lets you find and launch applications, and lets you surf RSS feeds. So is this Google add on to Windows the start of a Google-Windows war? Will we see Google XP soon? We can only hope.
