Sharp/Vodafone's three mega pixel phone
Fancy a sneak preview of the next Vodafone/Sharp mega pixel 3G camera phone? Well the pair has just taken the wraps off a new handset in Japan which we are sure will be landing in the UK very shortly. It seems that the 903SH is basically a revamp of the 902SH which Voda launched earlier this year.
Now the jury is still very much out on the 902. Sure it is has a fantastic screen and its two mega pixel snapper takes great pictures, but some critics moaned that it was a little too bulky.
The 903 keeps the 902’s camera style form factor and many of its features including stereo sound (the 902 has one of the best MP3 players on a phone and superb stereo speakers too) and its swivel round head. Voda has however upgraded the camera to now take three mega pixel rather than two mega pixel images.
There’s no word on whether Voda has improved on the 902’s other notable weaknesses – its lack of email and its very poor web browser. It’ll be interesting to see if it wins the race to become the first three mega pixel camera phone to go on sale in the UK.
