Sony taking pre-orders for ceramic PSP

Hot on the heels of the announcement by Nintendo of the Gameboy Micro (still a little unconvinced by the micro: who wants to play games on a thing that small?), Sony has announced the release of the PSP ceramic in Japan. The PSP ceramic, which as you can see looks kind of like the offspring of a PSP set and an Apple iPod, is to cost as much as a normal PSP unit can be pre-ordered from the Japanese website now. Unfortunately, there’s no word of a European or American release date yet, leading me to suspect that this is one tech trend that’ll stay in Japan.
