One gig iPod nano arrives

Apple appears to be doing digital music lovers on a budget a bit of a favour today by announcing the impending arrival of a one gig version of its very lovely iPod nano. Set to retail for £109 the device is identical to the larger storage 2 and 4 Gig models, so it has that lovely colour screen, the trademark click wheel and that indestructible screen. The smaller flash memory though means it holds 240 songs or 15,000 photos (don’t know how they work out that figure!).
We think the nano is sure to be a winner and anything that makes the dreadful shuffle – Apple’s only digital music faux pas to date, redundant – (although Apple has just brought its price down) works for us.
