Sony's sleek 8GB Microvault Pro drive
If you can’t compete on size, you might as well go for looks. Seagate certainly rule the roost when it comes to big storage devices with its portable 160GB drive, but the more modestly-sized 8GB Microvault Pro from Sony is certainly an eye-catcher.
The drive is the size of a typical business card and features a one-inch hard disk drive protected by a polished metal casing. It connects to a PC using Sony’s unique "USB swivel connector". The drive comes pre-loaded with Sony’s Auto Sync file synchronisation, which ensures that you always have your most up-to-date files available on the portable device. You can also retrieve up to 10 generations of a file too, which could be useful if you get a bit delete-happy.
You can pick up the 8GB Microvault Pro for around £139.

I’ve had one of these LaCie Carte Orange 8Gb credit card USB drives for a couple of months now – it was less than £100 incl delivery after looking around.
Not too different to the Sony one but incredibly useful to carry about.
