Coronation Street set for iTunes?
Last week we told you about Apple’s move into TV subscriptions – but only in America. However, all that could be about to change if ITV has its way.
Bosses at ITV want to make Coronation Street, plus other major TV shows, available to view on video iPods. Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, ITV chief Charles Allen confirmed TV bosses are considering such plans, adding: "It’s well within our capability to do that". ITV is also looking at making their shows available to other portable players, including mobile phones.
All the major ITV channels are due to go online as part of a trial with the BBC and major UK ISPs. But if you want a daily online fix of Coronation Street now, the best place to visit is Corrie Blog, where you can find out all the latest news, gossip and updates about Britain’s favourite soap.
