DS Lite sells out immediately

Even though the DS Lite offers virtually nothing in the way of new
features over the original DS, its
Japanese debut resulted in an
instant sell out. Anxious fans queued from the wee small hours to get
their hands on the upgraded version, proving that Nintendo has really
hit the nail on the head with the console’s new sleek design.
Although
some of the reason for stock shortage is due to delays in the launch of
the new coloured DS Lite consoles, it’s amazing that a simple redesign
of existing technology could generate this kind of reception. Nintendo
hasn’t revealed when the Lite will make it Europe yet but we’ll keep
you posted.
