Most of us use a USB drive for transferring files around – they’re small, convenient and can carry a considerable amount of data. However, if you’ve anything of importance on them, there’s that worry that your drive could slip out of your pocket or go for a walk without your knowledge.

Kingston reckons it has a solution with the DataTraveler Elite – Privacy Edition, the first drive exclusively for business users. It’s a USB drive offering 100% privacy of data on-the-fly via 128-bit hardware-based AES encryption. In addition to hardware-based AES encryption, the drive features several other advanced security measures including, a complex password protocol and a mechanism that locks after 25 consecutive failed password attempts.

Various sizes of drive are available up to 4GB, with prices starting at around £31 excluding VAT.
