Easier Picture Attachments In Windows XP
Judging by the number of emails Propellerhead receives with huge picture attachments we’re guessing a lot of PC users are unaware of the neat little feature in Windows XP that automatically resizes images for use in emails.
It’s incredibly easy to use. Open Windows Explorer or My Computer, navigate your way to the folder containing your pictures, right-click on the picture file you want to send then choose Send To > Mail Recipient. The default settings will send the picture more or less as is, with little or no reduction in picture quality but at a greatly reduced file size.
If you want to tinker with the size setting click More Options, otherwise click OK and an Outlook Express New Message Window opens, with your picture file attached so all you have to do is write your message, fill in the address box and click Send. Why not head over to the BootLog website for even more great Tips and Tweaks.
