The £250 Formula 1 mouse mat
For most of us, replacing the mouse mat involves throwing away the old one and picking out one of the "novelty" freebies we’ve acquired over the years – or as a last resort, spending around a fiver replacing it. But if you want to see how the other half live, head on over to the Formula 1 shop – they have a luxury mouse mat for a whopping £250.
It’s the Formula 1 carbon mouse mat. And for your money you get a mat that’s been handmade in England exclusively for Formula 1 by specialist composite technicians who make Formula One monocoques. And it was designed using state of the art automotive 3D modelling software.
It has a surface of solid, 3mm thick polished carbon fibre, a backing of Italian black suede and it’s embossed in carbon with the F1 Formula 1 logo. Downside? It’s not suitable for optical mice – you’ll need the carbon and leather version for that – which is £260!
