Nintendo Wii set for US launch by October?

Rumours abound that Nintendo’s Wii console might be launched in the US sooner than was previously expected – possibly as early as September.
According to reports from CNN Money, an analyst from American Technology Research claims that Nintendo is already manufacturing the console, with October certainly a reasonable release date. However, Microsoft didn’t start manufacturing the Xbox360 until 69 days before the release date and if this time frame weas applicable to Nintendo, the Wii could theoretically be on the market available by September.
However, October still seems more realistic to build up stock – and would still give Nintendo a head start on the PlayStation 3.
