It takes a lot to make a clock a head-turner in 2006. Surely everything’s been done to the humble timepiece? That’s what I thought until I clocked (sorry) eyes on the Floating LCD Clock and Shuttle over at Shiny Shiny.
No David Copperfield-style magic here – and your eyes don’t deceive you – it is, in fact, all done by magnets. Simply put, there’s a force at the top and bottom of the curved stand that keeps the clock in place.
