Mcody M-20 minimalist portable music player
Looking for a music player with the same stylish looks as LG’s Chocolate Phone? It might be worth taking a closer look at the Mcody M-20, a minimalist portable player that should get a few heads turning on the daily commute.
The Mcody M-20 sells itself on sound quality and design rather than a huge list of features. Switched off, the whole front surface of the player is completely black – no buttons, no visible screen. Really striking minimalist design. Switched on, glowing touch sensitive red buttons appear, along with white text from the reverse OLED screen. And to add to the overall look, it’s incredibly thin – just 7.5mm thin and 30.5g in weight.
Soundwise, the M-20 offers 40mW sound output (20mW per channel), with sound quality enhanced by SRS Wow 3D Sound and TruBass. The player supports all of the major audio formats including MP3, WMA, WAV and OGG Vorbis files and there’s also an FM tuner with 20 presets, an FM recorder, voice recorder and direct line-in MP3 recording. Battery life is 11 hours via the internal lithium polymer battery and the M-20 is good to use with wither PC, Mac and Linux based computers, appearing as a removable disk drive when connected to your PC – so just drag and drop files to the player.
The Mcody M-20 player is available now, priced at £69.
