Slingbox shortage hits the UK
Whether it’s an attempt to drum up trade from the company or the actual truth, I can’t be sure – but in view of demand surely generated from the recent World Cup, I’m inclined to believe Sling Media when they say the UK has run out of its current supply of the Slingbox.
Launched a couple of months back, the Slingbox lets you watch your TV or home home cinema equipment wherever you are in the world, courtesy of signals transmitted through the net via your PC. You can find out more about the Slingbox here. It’s been retailing in PC World and latterly Currys, but a summer of sport and the good weather has obviously created the right conditions for wanting to watch TV out and about.
The company is currently sourcing new stock, which should be back in stores in a few weeks. But in the meantime, of you see a Slingbox or two in your local store, let us know below.
