Lexar Jumpdrive Firefly USB drive: small, colourful, big storage

The Lexar JumpDrive Firefly USB drives are now available in the UK.

They come in five sizes and associated colour: 256Mb is ruby, 512Mb is emerald, 1Gb is topaz, 2Gb is black and 4Gb is white – well they are by my eyesight, anyway. So, if you’re into checking storage capacity by colour, these are for you.

They’re all high-speed USB 2.0 drives and come pre-installed with Google software including Desktop, Toolbar and Picasa – just in case the computer you’re using isn’t already Googled to the hilt.

The US price for the 4Gig drive is around $180, so we’ll see how bad the exchange rate is when they wend their way over here.

Though the specs say it’s only Windows compatible, I am guessing that’s for some of the Google software. I can’t see why it wouldn’t work on any USB enabled computer.
