Microsoft's Live Search launches today: plays catch-up with Google

Microsoft has revamped its online search engine and today has launched Live Search. It’s opted for a Web 2.0 AJAX look, meaning that the site should supposedly do clever things with your results, though it makes things a little more complex than the way Google does it, and it also means that it doesn’t seem to work 100% in every browser.
Anyway, as per a lot of Microsoft offerings (and I’m genuinely not trying to put them down here) there’s not a huge amount of originality – there’ll be a Q&A service, image searching, news, and local searches.
Microsoft’s Live services are gradually being rolled out and losing their ‘beta’ status.
What do you think? Will MS Live Search prove successful as part of the overall Live package?
