Apple drops prices on first-generation MacBooks

Following yesterday’s announcement of new MacBooks, Apple have announced that the first generation MacBooks are now being sold off at a reduced price.
The biggest savings are on a 13 inch 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo in black, down from £1029 to £819. The 1.83GHz model is down only £30 to £719 and the 2.0GHz in white is down to £789.
Not bad savings if you’re not after the top of the line system.
In other Apple news, the US and online adverts featuring the Mac Guy have been dropped by Apple, who will be bringing in other actors to fill the shoes of Justin Long. Apparently, people were warming to the “PC Guy” John Hodgman, and found “Mac Guy” to be smug. Now we can’t have that, can we?
