BT Vision securing Bollywood content for next month's launch

btvision.pngBT is set to secure content deals with some major Bollywood studios for its BT Vision Internet TV service launching next month, according to The Business magazine.

Hanif Lalani, group finance director, told them that they were near to securing rights to show the latest Indian films on BT Vision. Britain’s diverse ethnic communities will be a key target audience for the service.

BT Vision has already secured content deals with many Western studios including Disney, MTV, Paramount Comedy, Dreamworks, Sony BMG and Universal.

It’s planning a big marketing drive in the New Year.

BT Vision will also try to step in to the user-generated content arena, allowing users to create their own channels using home-produced content.
