FM transmitters legalised from December 8th

Our suggestion back in the summer that FM transmitters, on which gadgets such as the iTrip and iFreq rely, would be legalised in the UK by the end of the year, is now almost a reality.
The new Wireless Telegraphy Regulations 2006, due to pass on 8 December, will see to that.
“In response to consumer demand Ofcom has led negotiations in Europe to develop a harmonised technical approach designed to limit the potential of interference to other wireless devices,” Ofcom said in a statement.
So now you can legally hook up your iPod to your car or home radio and tune in.
