Hannspree launches Sports Line of novelty LCD TVs
Not content with having the kids’ novelty TV market sewn up, Hannspree is going after the sporty types – well, those who like to watch it anyway – with a new Sports Line of LCD TVs.
Three sports are available at launch, starting with what’s undoubtedly going to be most popular – the HANNSdribbling football LCD TV. Featuring a 9.6-inch LCD screen, it has a black and white surround hand crafted from genuine football leather, with speakers hidden within the black pentagonal areas of the leather design and the remote sensor incorporated into the power button.
Next up is the HANNSgolf 15-inch LCD TV, shaped like a white golf ball (complete with dimples) and featuring a 1024×768 XGA screen. Two iron club heads make up the LCD TVs base, while an oversized green golf tee acts as the HANNSgolf’s stand. Finally there’s the HANNSball basketball 15-inch LCD TV, which can be rotated 360° to watch the game from any angle. Designed to look exactly like a basketball and made from authentic basketball leather, it also features a complete list of NBA Finals Champions and the NBA logo. It’s available for tabletop or wall mounted.
The HANNSdribbling LCD TV retails at £299, the HANNSgolf at £389 and the HANNSball at £459.
