Sony PlayStation 3 sells for $9.99 on eBay

You’ve got to feel for the person who rushed out to buy a PS3 on launch day, and promptly slapped it on eBay trying to get $1,250 for it, only to end up accidentally selling it for $9.99. That’s what’s happened – Bayraider has the full info. It appears to be a case of the seller trying to offer just a Buy It Now price, but forgetting to turn off the option for people to place bids as low as they like. $9.99 for a PS3? Sounds like a bargain to me! [NOTE: It’s since been pointed out that the auction was ended early, which apparently may be a sneaky way to avoid eBay fees. But I’m still hoping it was a mistake…]
