Time nearly up for Christmas online shopping
Consumers are being warned that today is the last official day for ordering Christmas gifts online – if you want them to arrive before the big day.
That’s because by law retailers are only obliged to deliver within 30 days of the order date.
However, despite this, some online retailers are saying they’ll happily take and fulfil orders placed after today.
Amazon, for example, will promise to deliver any of its in stock items ordered up until 6pm on 22nd December using its Express Delivery service (that really is cutting it fine)
The government’s Consumer Direct advice service received a number of calls from upset callers whose presents didn’t turn up in time for last Christmas.
Looks like there’ll still be a fair few people fighting it out in the last minute real world rush because they ordered too late online.
